Do you have any kind of family tradition? Many people have their own family tradition. They use their creativity to make the family tradition as unique as possible. Some people are very creative. They continuously make new innovation of something. One example of innovation is making a bag from used plastics.

From the uniqueness, the innovation is appreciated by other people. I have a unique family tradition, too. When I was a kid and lived in the village, my family usually made potato candy when we had family meeting. We have a lot of potato candy recipes to make delicious potato candy. We usually serve the candy after we have our dinner.

I know the tradition when I was 8 years old and invited by my grandmother to go to her house. Then, my grandmother asked me to go to the kitchen. She showed me potatoes. She said that the potatoes were going to be used to make potato candy.

She began to make the potato candy. After she finished in making the potato candy, she showed me potato candy recipes of my family. She told me that it was the new innovation of my family from the mother of my grandmother.

I know how to make the potato candy since then. My grandmother told me not to tell everybody who are not my family members about the recipes and asked me to give the recipes to my children later on. To make potato candy, we need to prepare boiled potato. We should also prepare margarine and powdered sugar. We can make the candy based on our own style.

I am proud to have a great family. I love them. Now, my grandmother has died. I will fulfill my promise to my grandmother to keep potato candy recipes as secret. I will also continue my family tradition so that we can know the members of our family. Potato candy unites our family.
